In 1853, George Crum, who was a chef at the Moon’s Lake House in Saratoga Springs, New York, was cooking up some "potatoes served in the French manner." Upon being served, Crum's customer stated the fries were too soggy and continued to make this claim several more times. Absolutely furious, Crum did what all other chefs would do in this situation: scream a bunch of terrible words and give their customer exactly what they deserve.
