THE VALUES LISTED ARE NOT BASED ON CONDITION

Rather, they are a combination of displayability And city from where the newspaper is from. Typically, the lower value listed here would have minimal display appeal and a medium-size city. (Small town and weekly newspapers usually have a value LESS than the lowest value listed below.) The higher values represent a newspaper from a major city (such as New York City, San Francisco, etc.) that has excellent display appeal. Be sure to read the Primer for additional information.

(SPECIAL NOTE: A large quantity of the above two Memphis editions came into the market in the mid- 1990's. At one collectibles show I went to in the middle of July, 1995, near Lansing, Michigan, 4 dealers, out of 20, had quantities of both issues -- anywhere from 25 to 100 of each. They had them priced from $4 to $6 each. It is likely that someone reprinted both at the time and did not label them as such. For this reason, the value for both originals and reprints dropped.)
